The camera invites us into Ruth's baldly honest and emotional video conversations and also breaks free to join these folks on the ground at their independent farms, ranches, and restaurants in Ohio, Georgia, Kansas, New York, and California. With Reichl as our guide, an urgent, kinetic and kaleidoscopic portrait of American reinvention emerges.
